For our first drama production in 1992, we started to operate J.L. Fisher Studio Booms. Ever since we rented the first one from the BBC, this equipment turned out to be highly efficient for specific drama productions.
Today, we own 8 large and 1 small booms.
The large lengths of the arm and the extended mobility of the base, makes the boom very popular by everyone on the set. It can operate from behind the cameras, and never disturbs any camera movements. The boom operator has a clear visual on the set and can also follow the shot on a monitor next to his seat.
The biggest advantage of a boom lies in the head that can turn more than 360 degrees, so can perfectly follow the actors with the ideal microphone angle.
